🏢 The Haunted Headquarters: Episode 4 (continue)
After months of enduring Crimson’s constant criticism of Victor’s handling of affairs, he had finally had enough. Victor couldn’t take any more of Crimson’s monstrous communications, late-night phone calls, and incessant demands. The guy was on his last nerve. So, before he bit him on the neck and had to spend the rest of his life with him, he turned in his notice.
Wally, who had worked with Victor since the department’s inception, was sorrowful to see him go. “You can’t just leave us like this, Victor! We’ve been through so much together!” he pleaded, his voice tinged with desperation.
Gwen, still reeling from the banishment of her ghost friend to the retirement home, had also started looking for another position. “I can’t believe it’s come to this,” she said, shaking her head. “I thought we were a team.”
Martha was at her last straw with all of Crimson’s projects being over budget and past deadlines. “This is ridiculous! We can’t keep going like this!” she exclaimed, frustration evident in her tone. “Crimson is utterly incompetent, and it’s obvious to everyone except Dr. Malice that he fabricated his credentials.”
As the team gathered in the break room, the atmosphere was heavy with discontent. Victor stood at the center, his heart aching as he prepared to leave. “I just can’t work under these conditions anymore. I need to find a place where I’m valued,” he said, looking around at his friends.
Wally nodded, his expression somber. “I get it, but it feels like we’re losing our backbone. Who will stand up to Dr. Malice if you go?”
Gwen chimed in, “And what about the team? We can’t just abandon everything we’ve built here!”
Martha crossed her arms, her frustration boiling over. “We need to confront Dr. Malice about Crimson. If we don’t, this place will fall apart!”
Just then, Dr. Malice burst into the room, a broad grin on his face. “What’s all this chatter about? I hope you’re not planning any mutiny!”
Victor took a deep breath, steeling himself. “Dr. Malice, we need to talk about Crimson. He’s not fit for this role, and it’s affecting the entire team.”
Dr. Malice waved a dismissive hand. “Nonsense! Crimson is exactly what we need! Chaos breeds creativity, and you all need to embrace it!”
Wally stepped forward, his voice firm. “But at what cost? We’re losing our team spirit, and it’s not sustainable!”
Martha added, “We can’t keep working under these conditions. It’s not just about chaos; it’s about respect and collaboration!”
Dr. Malice’s expression darkened. “You’re all being too sentimental. If you can’t handle a little chaos, maybe you don’t belong here!”
As the tension escalated, Victor felt a surge of anger and walked out the door. “You all deserve better than this! I quit!
The team exchanged glances, a flicker of fear igniting among them. Would they unite against Dr. Malice and Crimson’s chaotic reign, or would they succumb to the shadows of The Haunted Headquarters?
