Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bread Crumbs:

    • Soak the fresh bread crumbs in cold water and set aside to absorb the moisture.
  2. Sauté the Onions:

    • In a skillet, sauté the diced onions over medium heat until tender. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  3. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Combine Ingredients:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, pork, sautéed onions, granulated garlic, and the soaked bread crumbs (drained if necessary).
    • Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  5. Add Remaining Ingredients:

    • Add the thyme, chopped parsley, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and salt to the meat mixture. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  6. Shape the Meatloaf:

    • Mold the mixture into loaves. You can use loaf pans or shape them by hand in a meat pan with sides high enough to hold the juices.
  7. Bake:

    • Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) and the meatloaf is cooked.
  8. Serve:

    • Once done, let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes or vegetables.
