Best Walt Disney World Tips

Disney Magic Kingdom Tips
Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom Tips:
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
This attraction loads and unloads painfully, insufferably and excruciatingly slow, often making for an unbearable, intolerable and agonizingly long wait at peak times. So if this is on your must see list, do you and yours a favor and hit this one early. - Ariel’s Grotto Character Greeting Area
Do this in the morning, it is too hot in the afternoon waiting in line with no shade. - Mickey’s ToonTown Fair
Groups without young children may want to walk through this creative and colorful “land” and then again may not. - The Timekeeper
This attraction is often closed during slower times of the year. It was closed on our visit in September. - Snow White’s Scary Adventures
Often frightening to young children. - Popular and crowded rides are best done during the parade and fireworks. Most people want to see the shows, and the shortest lines for rides often occur during these times.
Disney Epcot Tips
Walt Disney World Epcot Tips:
- Honey, I Shrunk The Audience
It may frighten some pre-school children. - Mission: Space Presented by HP
May cause motion sickness … more like heart failure!! - A must-see IllumiNations Reflections of Earth
- For us, Epcot takes two different days. If you try to capture it in one day, you will be on information overload, and the children will simply be bored. Our days at Epcot are planned to be relaxing. We take it at a much slower pace than the other parks.
- The mask-making project can begin at any world showcase attraction. Each country has a special item for attachments, e.g., Italy has feathers, Morocco has sparkles, etc. Decorative items are added to the mask in each country, and the mask’s wood handle is stamped with a “visa” showing which places were visited. Again, this is a way to visit all the attractions with children.
- At Innoventions East, guests can send a 10-second video e-mail message to friends back home (the Video D-Mail booth is located at the Innoventions Internet Zone).
- At Innoventions West, guests can e-mail a picture postcard of themselves, provided by IBM’s Networked Living Exhibit.
- Watch for the “Living Statues” … they are amazing!!

Some preschool age children can be frightened during this presentation.
Disney Animal Kingdom Tips
Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom Tips:
- It’s Tough to Be a Bug
It may be frightening to preschool-age children. The 4-year-old in our group did NOT like this attraction. For the rest of the trip, he didn’t want to go to any attractions where you had to wear glasses. - The Animal Kingdom “Meal Plus” Program
Pizzafari—The pizzas in the kids’ meal are the same size as the ones on the adult menu. I recommend buying the kids’ meal voucher since you will end up with the same amount of food. If you follow this tip, you will get one individual-size pizza, two full-size beverages, and an ice cream or popcorn for only $5.99! - Festival of the Lion King
Located in Camp Minnie-Mickey is a must-see. It is a live stage show production that borrows songs from the popular classic. Singers, dancers, acrobats, and a good portion of crowd participation combine to make this the best offering to be found at the Animal Kingdom. 25-minute production - Fossil Fun Games
Carnival-style games that are pay-as-you-play.
Disney Water Parks Tips
Walt Disney World Water Park Tips:
- Coolers with your food and drinks are permitted, excluding glass containers and alcoholic beverages.
- Hours vary depending on the season. For operation hours, call (407) 560-4141
- We enjoyed the rides at Blizzard Beach the best. Typhoon Logoon has a fabulous wave pool and shark reef.
- During the afternoons, when the parks are crowded and the temperature can be on the hot side, it is a perfect opportunity to visit one of the water parks. Water parks are the perfect place for adults to relax.
- Recommend: Waterproof bags don’t let a splash of water ruin your precious electronic devices.
