Recipes on the InfoStarBase

Ingredients

  • 5-6 medium-sized chicken breasts, cooked, cooled, and deboned
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 stacks Ritz crackers
  • Chicken broth (to thin the mixture)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prepare Chicken: Cut the cooked and deboned chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and place them in a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish—season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Mix Sauce: In a separate bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup and sour cream. Add enough chicken broth to thin the mixture to your desired consistency.

  4. Combine: Pour the soup and sour cream mixture over the chicken pieces in the casserole dish, ensuring the chicken is well coated.

  5. Prepare Topping: Melt the butter or margarine in a small bowl. Crush the Ritz crackers and mix them with the melted butter until well combined.

  6. Top Casserole: Sprinkle the crushed Ritz crackers evenly over the top of the casserole.

  7. Bake: Bake in the oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the topping is golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve hot as a comforting main dish.

Enjoy your delicious chicken casserole!
