Hot German Potato Salad

9 medium potatoes
6 slices bacon
¾ c. chopped onion
2 tblsp. flour
2 tblsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
½ tsp. celery seed
dash of pepper
¾ c. water
1/3 c. vinegar

Wash potatoes, remove eyes, and cut into ¼ inch slices (peeling is optional). Boil until cooked. Drain; set aside. Brown bacon, drain, crumble and set aside. Cook onion in bacon drippings. Stir in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper. Stir in water and vinegar. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Add to crumbled bacon and sliced potatoes and serve hot.
