- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for “bandages”)
Toppings:
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Sliced black olives (for “eyes”)
- Sour cream (for decoration)
- Hot sauce (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Filling:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning, black beans, corn, and diced bell peppers to the skillet. Stir well and cook for 5-7 minutes until everything is heated.
Prepare the Taco Shells:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If using flour tortillas, you can warm them slightly in a microwave or skillet to make them more pliable.
Assemble the Mummy Tacos:
- Spoon the taco filling into each taco shell.
- Place the filled tacos on a baking sheet.
- Shredded mozzarella cheese can be used to create “bandages” by placing strips over the tacos. Leave gaps for the “eyes.”
Bake:
- Bake the tacos in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
Add Spooky Touches:
- Once out of the oven, use sliced black olives to create “eyes” on the tacos.
- Drizzle sour cream in ghostly shapes on top for decoration.
